Several weekends ago...

Over the weekend -- The Aggies beat Alabama -- oh and, my parents & my grandma came into town. They got in late Friday night, so Saturday, we got to visit. Early Saturday morning, JT & I headed to Abilene to do our monthly grocery shopping, but we got back home before lunch. Then my mom, grandma, the kids and I hopped in the car and headed to Snyder for a little retail therapy on the square. While we were shopping, JT and my dad installed a doggie door in our back porch -- and watched the Aggie football game. I was so excited to come home finish watching the game and see them win.

It is so great not to have to leave the porch door open all the time. This will seriously cut down on the amount of dirt that blows in. The dogs act like they have been using a doggy door for years. In and out they ran.
Saturday night we had dinner together and then the guys watched more football and the girls visited and cleaned up. My mom always makes my house smell just a little better. She also helped me hang several pictures that that still hadnt hung around my house.
Sunday, we had breakfast and just visited around the house, checked out the Sunday paper, and a few other morning things. Then in the afternoon, The girls went to Vickie's and the Wildflower for their Christmas Open House. Im getting excited about Christmas. I got a few Christmas presents and a few other ideas.
After we got back, it was time for them to get back on the road. It is always sad for me to see them go but today I knew that it would only be two weeks before I get to see them again (Lord willing).
We had a great time and I am thankful for everything that we were able to accomplish in such as short time.
Thanks Mom, Dad & Grami!

Happy Anniversary

I got flowers from my husband today for our 7th wedding anniversary. They are so pretty & so fragrant.
I really do love him!

Happy Halloween!

For Halloween this year, we didnt do much, but we did Trick-or-Treat. Lincoln was Reveille  the Aggie dog. He was so cute. We practiced saying "trick-or-treat" and "woof-woof", but of course when we got in front of everyone he wouldnt say a thing. Oh well, maybe next year.

First, we went to Aunt Francis & Uncle Gary's, then we went to our friends house, next we did the Trunk-or-Treat at the Baptist church in Roscoe, and finally we went to Memaw's Nursing Home for some candy and to show off his costume. Then we came home. That was plenty. We were hot & tired.

He seemed to have a great time for his first time trick-or-treating!
Looking forward to next year!

Pumpkin Patch 2012

Last weekend we went to the Disability Resources Inc Pumpkin Patch with Lincoln to take pictures...I know, I know so cliche, but I want to take all the pictures that I can of him before he wont let me anymore.

It was very WINDY, cool and overcast weather. Lincoln had a hard time warming up to the pumpkins, but once he finally did, he had fun --until it started to rain. Here are some pics.

Love me some...

Aaron Watson!!!
If I had to be stranded somewhere with only one person's music, it would be Aaron Watson!
I have really enjoyed his music and this CD really weaves his faith through his music and I really love that about him!
This is definitely a must add to your collection.

Sunday!

I love this face!

Tonight we went for a walk and the weather was just perfect.

Here is Rosie tuckered out after our walk, her run :)

Oh yeah, last Sunday afternoon Lincoln & I planted Brussels sprouts, lettuce, spinach & musclin in the front flower beds. I did not want to plant corn but Lincoln saw the corn on the package and was pretty insistent that we plant some...
I have a few sprouts up (like three) and he has two corn sprouts already up. Looks like he might get his daddy's green thumb after all :)

Hope your Sunday was as great as mine!

What a beautiful day!

Today has been a great day! The weather is beautiful- my perfect weather kind of day- 83 for the high & 60 for the low.

It won't be long before cotton strippers start revving their engines in our area.

This is my favorite time if year!
Bath & body works candle called  Leaves and Starbucks Pumpkin Spiced Latte and my family all equal the essence of fall!

All in a day with Mom

Saturday, Lincoln got up at 7am. So we started our Saturday early. We cooked breakfast, did laundry, cleaned a few other things around the house and then at noon we left for Abilene to go to a computer auction. After that, we had lunch at chik-fil-a --which Lincoln loved! Then to hobby lobby, target, fuel for the car and Starbucks (with my giftcard) for a pumpkin spices latte.
We had a great time together.
We made it home in time to cook grilled cheese sandwiches for dinner and enjoyed the cool weather the rest of the evening.
Looks like I wore Lincoln out shopping. He was great in all the stores! Every one looks at him & says how cute he is. Of course, it makes me so proud! :)
It was a good day!

UNREAL Candy

As you know, Im a BzzAgent over here & I'm buzzing about my new favorite candy!
This candy is UNREAL!
It was made out of a need for "better" candy.
These candies have:
No Preservative
No Artificials
No Hydrogenateds
No Corn Syrups
No GMOs
It is really UnJunked.
I did have a hard time finding them in the stores, so I had to log on their website to find out where to get them in West Texas -- I found them at CVS Pharmacy. They will be in Target stores soon.

I especially like the UNREAL 8 - chocolate caramel peanut nougat bar
The chocolate is very smooth. The caramel is thick and moist. The peanuts are fresh.
It reminded me a turtle candy, you know the fancy kind that come in the red & white striped packages.
We tasted 4 of the 5 kinds of candy available at work yesterday.
The 54 - chocolate covered peanuts are great.
The 41 - chocolate covered candies are good - they kind of have a dark chocolate flavor.
The 5 - chocolate caramel nougat bars is sweeter than a milky way.

Great Job UNREAL candy company!

To Lincoln

My Dear Lincoln - yesterday I watched in amazement as you picked up my iPhone, slid the arrow to unlock it, found your games app and chose to play Curious George Zoo game.
I know that people have told me that you would do this very soon and I was sort of expecting this, but it was still amazing to watch you. You completed each touch with precision -- like you knew exactly what you were doing.

Then, later that evening your dad wanted to use the house phone. Yes, we still have a house phone bc we dont want to have to give everyone our cell numbers :) So, he asked you to go and get the phone. We wondered if you knew what we really asked you to do.  You toddled off into the kitchen and within a matter of seconds you returned holding the house phone and handed it to your dad to call Aunt Melody.

Every day you amaze us at how smart you are and what a great child you are.
We love you!

Bounce houses are fun!

Sunday afternoon we went over to Sweetwater for a 4 year old birthday party for a little girl Lincoln goes to daycare with. It was a princess party of course. They had a castle bounce house and a princess cake and pink and red punch. It was really fun. Lincoln loved Loved LOVED the bounce house! He even was brave enough to climb the ladder an go down the slide! I was so proud of him!
Then, we sang and has princess cake and a red mustache from the punch.
Presents- there were lots of tinker bell stuff, hair things and pretty sparkly things- just what a little girl wants!
But then, here big brother comes walking down the street with something every little girl wants-- a pony. A real life pony!! We were all surprised and couldn't wait to see the reaction on the little girl's face! Her momma didn't even know about it so it was fun to see her face too! :)
Here are some pics with my phone that I took. The party was fun!
