We got there the line was short so I decided that we would go see Santa before eating and doing Christmas crafts.
We have been talking to Lincoln about Santa and who he is and how he would bring him presents. Lincoln seems to be getting it but I don't think he completely understand yet...it won't take long.
So while we were in line, I was prepping Lincoln for Santa and asking him what Santa was going to bring him and if he was going to sit on his lap to get candy. He said yes to all the questions but I know how he is so I was still unsure of how he would react. As we got closer to Santa, Mrs. Clause greeted us and was talking to both the boys. Lincoln squeezed up to me making me very nervous. Then came our time to meet Santa. I got my camera ready. Lincoln held my hand and slowly walked towards Santa. He seemed very hesitant but just in awe of seeing this Santa person in real life. Santa said hello and held out a candy cane for Lincoln. He took the candy and got closer to Santa. Santa lifted him on to his lap and quickly took several pics of them -- not know how long this sweet moment would last.
Santa asked Lincoln what he wanted for Christmas and Lincoln whispered, "a green excavator and a green dump truck." Just like all the times we asked him. Santa didnt quite hear him the first time so Mommy had to help Santa hear. I finally got a pic of Lincoln & Santa looking right into my camera. I quickly set the camera down and lifted Reagan out of the carseat right into Santa's arms. I grabbed the camera as fast as I could and took as many shots as my camera would let me since I wasnt sure if either of the boys was going to burst into tears at any moment. When I was sure we had a good pic I put the camera down and put Reagan back in the carseat. Lincoln got down from Santa's lap and waved to him good-bye. We walked around the corner to get breakfast and you should have seen the look on Lincoln's face. It was really great.
So then we met up with Michelle & Sirena to set our things down. Then we went to get pancakes and sausage. Lincoln ate good and had some orange juice.
After we finished eating, we went to do crafts. We made a snowman snow globe out of a baby food jar, we iced a snowman cookie and added sprinkles, we made two picture frames with lots of stickers and two construction paper ornaments - a star and a tree - for each boy with their name and year. We had a great time and Lincoln loved every minute of it.
