Oh the things kids say! #1

Back in October, (my how time flies) I went over to Burleson to meet up with my mom and dad for a weekend visit. They were in town for a concert and I wanted to shop at a few stores so I got up super early on Saturday morning and drove over. We met up and had lunch at Jack n the Box. Then we went to Target, CVS and then, we found a Kid-to-Kid. We had a great time. We headed back to the hotel to meet up with Dad so they could go to the concert. I took the boys to go eat at Cracker Barrel and then to TJ Maxx.
At TJ Maxx, Lincoln began to melt down so it was time to go back to the hotel. We had baths and then to bed. Sunday morning was nice and slow. We had breakfast at the hotel. I knew I wanted to go to the HEB and get milk and eggs bc they were so cheap and then to World Market (one of my favorite stores ever!) We went to HEB and then over to World Market. Dad bought Lincoln a train whistle and I found the cutest excavator and bull dozer ornaments for the boy's Christmas tree.

For awhile now, we have been working with Lincoln on chewing gum  and not swallowing it. So throughout the weekend, we kept asking him if he still had his gum. On the way over to World Market, we gave him a piece of gum. After we finished shopping I needed to feed Reagan before we got back on the road. We had given Lincoln a juice to drink for the road. While mom and I were sitting in the parking lot feeding Reagan, mom turned to Lincoln and asked if he still had his gum.
He said, "no, his drink swallowed it."  Not that he swallowed it, but that his drink swallowed it for him.  Mom and I just looked at each other and laughed. She turned to him again and talked to him some more about not swallowing his gum.
Reagan finished, we prayed and we both got on the road to head home. It was a great laugh before we got on the long ride home.

                                         Love this kid so much!!

Reagan updates

Yesterday Reagan finally intentionally smiled back at me. That feeling is so great!!
He also officially moved from newborn size Huggies to newborn Pampers.

And he went with me on the first of many walks in the country. He did great. The first real cold front came through last night and the high today was 70 degrees. It was a glorious day!!

And this is how big brother Lincoln decided to take his nap today. Doesn't he look comfy?

That's all for now.
Much love!!

Big boy bed

This little man got a new bed last weekend and has done great! He has only woken up twice this week and come to our bed. The first time was about 1:30am so I let him fall back asleep and then took him back to his bed where he slept until morning. The other night it was about 4:30am. I meant to take him back to his bed, but I fell back asleep and when the alarm went off at 6am he was still with us --oh well. He really loves his new bed and lives telling us it's his big boy bed. I'm so proud!
I hope he can keep this excitement up after his little brother gets here :)
So proud of his bed & truck bedding!

Reading with daddy while his new sheets & comforter were being washed.

Several weekends ago...

Over the weekend -- The Aggies beat Alabama -- oh and, my parents & my grandma came into town. They got in late Friday night, so Saturday, we got to visit. Early Saturday morning, JT & I headed to Abilene to do our monthly grocery shopping, but we got back home before lunch. Then my mom, grandma, the kids and I hopped in the car and headed to Snyder for a little retail therapy on the square. While we were shopping, JT and my dad installed a doggie door in our back porch -- and watched the Aggie football game. I was so excited to come home finish watching the game and see them win.

It is so great not to have to leave the porch door open all the time. This will seriously cut down on the amount of dirt that blows in. The dogs act like they have been using a doggy door for years. In and out they ran.
Saturday night we had dinner together and then the guys watched more football and the girls visited and cleaned up. My mom always makes my house smell just a little better. She also helped me hang several pictures that that still hadnt hung around my house.
Sunday, we had breakfast and just visited around the house, checked out the Sunday paper, and a few other morning things. Then in the afternoon, The girls went to Vickie's and the Wildflower for their Christmas Open House. Im getting excited about Christmas. I got a few Christmas presents and a few other ideas.
After we got back, it was time for them to get back on the road. It is always sad for me to see them go but today I knew that it would only be two weeks before I get to see them again (Lord willing).
We had a great time and I am thankful for everything that we were able to accomplish in such as short time.
Thanks Mom, Dad & Grami!

Happy Anniversary

I got flowers from my husband today for our 7th wedding anniversary. They are so pretty & so fragrant.
I really do love him!

Happy Halloween!

For Halloween this year, we didnt do much, but we did Trick-or-Treat. Lincoln was Reveille  the Aggie dog. He was so cute. We practiced saying "trick-or-treat" and "woof-woof", but of course when we got in front of everyone he wouldnt say a thing. Oh well, maybe next year.

First, we went to Aunt Francis & Uncle Gary's, then we went to our friends house, next we did the Trunk-or-Treat at the Baptist church in Roscoe, and finally we went to Memaw's Nursing Home for some candy and to show off his costume. Then we came home. That was plenty. We were hot & tired.

He seemed to have a great time for his first time trick-or-treating!
Looking forward to next year!

Pumpkin Patch 2012

Last weekend we went to the Disability Resources Inc Pumpkin Patch with Lincoln to take pictures...I know, I know so cliche, but I want to take all the pictures that I can of him before he wont let me anymore.

It was very WINDY, cool and overcast weather. Lincoln had a hard time warming up to the pumpkins, but once he finally did, he had fun --until it started to rain. Here are some pics.
