Labor Day Weekend

Happy Labor Day! What did we do this weekend, you ask? We labored on Labor Day.

Saturday,we got up early and we went to Abilene to get some things done. We first went to the Toyota dealership to get the oil changed in the truck, then we went to Ulta to my shampoo (I had gone in there the day before and did not have my 20% coupon, so I had to go back later), then we had lunch at Carino's (love that place) and then to HEB & Sams.

Sunday afternoon, we cleaned and then drove to our friends place to pick black eyed peas. Can you say yummy! lots of work, but great flavor. Here are a few pics from picking excursion.

Three trash bag fulls and two 5-gallon buckets full.

 

Then, on Monday, laundry, vacuuming and shelling peas and of course playing with Lincoln! 
According to Wikipedia, Labor Day is a United States federal holiday observed on the first Monday in September  that celebrates the economic and social contributions of workers.
